Georgia and European Energy Community - The Challenges of EU integration

The report Georgia and European Energy Community – The Challenges of EU integration aims to raise awareness of Georgian citizens and decision makers on the advantages and benefits of the European Energy Treaty in EU integration process. In order to achieve its aim, the report describes and analyses the legislative framework of the European Energy Community, its implementation mechanisms, as well as lessons learned by South East Balkan Countries and Ukraine. The research addresses the strengths and weaknesses of the Community and its impact on EU integration process. The research analyses in detail the compliance of the legislative framework of Georgian Energy and Environmental sector with respective EU directives and regulations. It also  sets priority directions and recommendations for implementation of European Energy Treaty for the country, based on its aspiration  to become full member of the Community.
