Monitoring of Biodiversity in Protected Areas
The goal of the study was to evaluate some threats related to the protected areas according to biodiversity monitoring indicators; based on the results of qualitative and quantitative analysis, to develop proposals (recommendations) in the following two directions:
- To improve biodiversity indicators;
- To improve planning and management of protected areas.
The study was carried out in the frame of Green Alternatives case study “Development of Biodiversity Monitoring System for Assessment of Forest Protected Areas”. Project is funded by GEF implemented by the Ministry of Nature protection and Agriculture of Georgia and World Resources Institute.
